INTERNAL SALES CONSULTANT (Decór / Furniture Design Industry)

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the best customer service through every step of the sales pipeline. The role will focus on Customer Service Satisfaction within a strong team environment where Brand and Product knowledge is essential. Team members will also be tasked with Market Coverage and expanding the number of clients. Sales consultants will act as the custodians of the company brand and all company clients.
• Ensuring after sales follow-up to manage client satisfaction and to establish if company can maintain contact (e.g. add to mailing list)
• Strong team orientation, going the extra mile to assist team members to achieve team targets and to create a healthy team dynamic
• Support and strive to exceed team and company targets
• Grow market share by means of identifying market opportunities, growth plan agreed with management and implemented
• Infiltrate new markets by identifying market opportunities
• A comprehensive working knowledge & understanding of all company sales & marketing materials (website, catalogue)
• Proactively partaking in training & development
• Always representing the team, company and brand in line with marketing & sales strategies
• Excellence in service
• Remain within parameters of pricing and discount structure
• Ensure and accurate and complete recording of the order, client details and the source of the lead on the in-house managing system
• Accurate in-house tracking of the order progress to ensure maximum GP
• Ensure that client payment terms are strictly adhered to
• Prepare reporting as needed
• Accurate internal communication in weekly and monthly reports
• As per event requirements – showroom events, exhibitions & expo’s
• Build and retain sustainable client relations
• Effective Internal and external communications
• Support good morale and team focus in the team
• Client centric in approach, displaying effective client research abilities and skills in testing assumptions to understand the client’s real needs

At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Knowledge of the Décor & Design industry will be advantageous
A minimum 3 year tertiary qualification – Diploma / Degree essential
Must have a valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
